I have a Nikon D60 and Canon should change to get a price or xsi 30d THX is about the same?

Congratulations on reaching the "dark side". I am a Canon shooter (40D), but to myself, sometimes I like certain features on Nikon bodies. Anyway, the choice between the XSi and the 30D is difficult choice, if you really are seeing as a photographer. If you're an aspiring photographer and / or throw in a rapidly changing environment, the 30D will be faster and more efficient. As an example, if I throw in the exhibition programmed modes of opening or shutter-priority, I can use the main dial on the front to control opening / filling or change of program, while the dial on the back adjusts the exposure compensation simulaneously. Selecting the AF point can be configured to use the joystick as, multifunction controller Instead of pressing buttons or spinning a wheel to get the desired point. All these things can be done without taking my eye from the viewfinder to find a button or menu. The drawback is that they are giving a little resolution, high ISO performance, live view and a larger LCD compared to XSI. That said, I still went with the 30D if the same price. If you are just a casual shooter, the rebel can still be a better option. If you do not care about being able to make rapid adjustments that I mentioned previously, the fact that the XSi is lighter and smaller than any xxD Series camera may have more appeal. Rebel XSi and the rebels later also use SD cards as your D60. However, 4GB and 8GB CF cards are cheap and easy to replace these days.
