PC created for a Nikon D40x?

im currently trying to find a list of parts i need for an external flash for PC created I do not need an adapter Shoe to PC Sync, but i dont know if they should try to get two lights, speed synchronization with PC ports or simply the shoe PC sync adapter? What do you suggest? and some idea of where to buy these adapters in Melbourne? How to establish such a lighting system using strobe lights that will be the cheapest possible?
