olympus memory card reader

I need help understanding and USB memory card reader for my Olympus Stylus 710.?

Well, I just received this "new" camera used and that was reported missing the USB cable. really do not care because in my Kodak Easyshare never had to use one. He simply took the memory card and put it on the computer. I also have about 29 random USB cables at home. The problem is the memory card does not fit into the team and the USB thing is apparently an odd size and I can not find it anywhere. Even in his actions Olympus.com. The site is the suggestion of a memory card reader. What is it and how it works? I have other options? It is a headache!
