How does a Sigma 28-70mm F2.8-4 DG compared to a Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens.?

Which has better picture quality and detail Image?

Lenses are both budget and there is much difference in picture quality. However, the difference in the zoom range is much more important that you realize. The 18-55 is much more versatile because it offers a wide coverage angle – is the best choice for landscapes, interiors, and photography street. The 28-70 does not offer ANY wide angle. Not after the 1.6x focal length multiplier. However, the Sigma is the best choice for portrais. The Sigma is also slightly faster in low light … but not fast enought well suited for such situations.
