nikon: What are the lenses i have in the bag shake to cover almost all situations?

Hi thinking of entering photography hobby. Now I have a Nikon D60. Im saving money to buy Nikon D700 next year. I want to know what lenses to buy i shaking? Can anyone tell me what lenses are the typical lead a professional photographer in her / camera bag? I know that all lenses are expensive, but sometimes I will arrange with someone sigma etc. told me that shud buy FX format lenses? but I think fx for film camera?
