Here is my experience of what happened to a generic brand Nikon Battery I bought for my Nikon D1X.
I bought two new batteries in good battery.com, and the description on the site including good-battery.com my brand of digital camera (D1H) in its support. The brand name in the battery packs, said: "Camera Digital Battery, Nikon EN-4 batteries, NIKON D1X high-end model of the line Nikon battery, which has a long battery life time (but it costs three times the generic brand).
I put a new battery in my digital camera when I got home (I'll call the battery # 1) and converted to a digital camera. I was told that the battery had a life of about 120 minutes or something, so after a minute of filming, I connected the charger digital camera to see how high the post would go.
