sigma 70-200 f2.8 nikon

Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 VS Sigma 70-200 f2.8 VR?

I am looking into getting one of these two lenses to shoot weddings, and I'm sort of a low budget. I have a sigma 24-70 2.8f. I am also planning on getting a monopod because I've tried one of those that are too heavy to use for me without it. Should I nikon go by without the VR and I'm going to get a monopod. What would you go to see.
