Nikon D80, the LCD can be used as a viewfinder in addition to the viewer?

I just bought a Nikon D80 and Iam reading the brief manual, but I can not find anything on the LCD screen is used to view the composition. If I can use the screen that I thought I could before I bought it, how to activate the display. I know how to display the photos I've taken (by viewing them on the LCD. Or looking at the menu, etc. Is the D80 do this or I have to take a photograph is only through viewer?

They also lose the shutter speed when using the LCD screen. For macro pictures is great, but for standard shots, there a delay when using Live View on DSLRs
