choose the right camera for the right price?

im looking everywhere for the right camera. I narrowed it down the Rebel XT and XTi. dousnt really matters one who receives. The lens of the camera I have. I found the best website for the cheapest price. what caught my eye was a Rebel XT w / a Tamron 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 Di-II LD Lens for under $ 700 (sounds too good to be true). and the XTi comes with the aim of the kit and 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 Lens for just under $ 600. Please, help me with this choice tuff. now think it necessary to also get a very fast memory card at least 2GB. and I really really really not want to pay too.
