What type of filter that I buy that's all there?

I have a Canon Rebel XTi with Tamron 28-300 AF lens. But its what I thought it would be. I want the special effects in my photos, but do not know how. when the use of their photos it seems that its taken from a normal digital camera. I want to see the photo you took stressed that it was actually taken from a DSLR. What type of filter should I buy?

I use a UV filter on my Rebel XTi … but really it's all about removing AUTO and use of different modes. Someone wrote a book about this camera, it really has. It is called Canon Digital Rebel Field Guide XTi/400D … by I "think" Charlotte Lowrie … not sure that is not near me. It's the best book I read, because it directly to the camera you're talking about. I would say that really just have to learn to adjust aperture and shutter to change the depth of field and motion in the picture. I thought the same when I first came the XTi. I was like, why do they seem to have used a regular point and shoot, but eventually I learned how to work around and now I'm taking pictures that are much better.
