What is the purpose for my 350D?

I was going to upgrade to a 40d but have decided to get a Nice lens instead. I would like a zoom lens that produces fast tack sharp images in low light situations. I've found 3 that I like, but I'm torn. What? 1) Canon 18-55 mm f / 2,8 L IS USM – Great reviews but some complaints of dust inside the lens. L series glass but the quality is not as good for the big hill. 2) Canon range of 24-70 mm f/2.8L USM – Great comments, but some say over the lens produces images of better quality. A little more than a great cost that's fine if it's worth. 3) Tamron SP AF28-75mm f/2.8 – This goal has been achieved and some excellent reviews and compared it with the objective of the L series above. It is also much cheaper than would be the icing SOOOOO the cake if I can get under $ 500. I have a Tamron objective now and I love it, but it is the maximum aperture is f/3.5. Therefore, if I get to spend a great I order I will. If anyone has any other suggestions go for it. So what to choose?

Number One ….. effectively a 27 – 82mm f2.8 A 350D in a very comprehensive and useful Nice lens. Ideal for portraits on the top and close w / a in the bottom.
